Electric buses are doing just fine. First the E9, now the E10. "This is the best recommendation for the brand."

Over a year ago – in May 2024 – Szczytno signed a contract for the delivery of two Yutong E9 models. Now, the authorities of this Warmia-Masuria local government have decided on two larger Yutong E10 models . The contract was signed a few days ago by Mayor Stefan Ochman and Busnex Poland CEO Marcin Kucharski.

"Szczytno is the sixth local government in the Warmia and Mazury region to gain zero-emission public transport," says Marcin Kucharski. "Next year, the two Yutong E9 buses already in service will be joined by two zero-emission Yutong E10 models. The municipality's purchase of additional Yutong electric buses is the best endorsement for this brand," emphasizes the CEO of Busnex Poland.

The city notes that the new buses will be modern, quiet, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. They will join the fleet of the Szczytno Public Transport Authority.

" Each of them will accommodate at least 65 passengers," says Mayor Stefan Ochman . "This is the fourth stage of the 'Szczytno City - City of Sustainable Public Transport' project, co-financed by EU funds."

The total investment cost is PLN 6,051,600 . The contract includes the delivery of electric buses and the charging infrastructure, including an 80 kW mobile charger. The completion date is 12 months from the date of contract signing.

Busnex emphasizes that the Yutong E10 is a proven model on the Polish market, successfully used in public transport in cities such as Polkowice and Kętrzyn. The city of Szprotawa also recently signed a contract for the supply of this model.

The buses are adapted to transport disabled people and those with limited mobility, and are equipped with, among other things, automatic air conditioning and a monitoring system.

Equipped with high-performance cobalt-free batteries, which, together with an energy recovery system, allow for a range of up to 350 km on a single charge in regular use . The Yutong E10 also features the latest technologies ensuring battery safety, 24-hour monitoring, and multi-stage protection.

Busnex Poland has so far delivered and contracted over 260 electric buses for 29 local governments from 11 voivodeships .

We recently reported that the Ostrołęka authorities signed a contract with the company—in this case, for the delivery of six zero-emission Yutong E12 buses along with infrastructure in the form of six depot charging points. The vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to the ordering party within eight months of the contract signing date.
